
Health Innovations are looking for a Site Maintenance Technician to join our team in Skipton. This role’s key purpose is to maximise the availability and efficiency of all site equipment using agreed maintenance protocols. The role also involves maintenance of the site buildings. As well as identifying work required to keep the buildings and machinery fit for use, liaising with service providers to ensure they adhere to internal standards and that any work carried out is signed off.
Day to Day:
Follow a preventative maintenance plan, and update the plan as work is carried out with appropriate comments and updates.
Manage reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
To help change over production lines in an efficient and safe way.
Setting machinery to required standard and helping to overcome technical issues.
In conjunction with the Production Manager, identify ways of improving efficiencies, reducing waste and maximising outputs.
Involvement in the training of staff to assist them with efficient running of machinery.
Work with third party service providers.
Ensure the upkeep of the building is maintained.
Maintenance of all manufacturing/packing tool parts and upkeep of the tooling register.
Involvement in projects that involve new machinery, movement of existing machinery, updating buildings etc.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
Maintain required standards of housekeeping.
Adhere to site quality procedures and policies.
Highlight H&S issues.
The ideal Candidate:
Maintenance/engineering experience in FMCG, food manufacturing.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in Engineering. Ideally multi-skilled.
This is a full time, permanent role, 37.5 hours a week.
