We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Skipton site as a Warehouse Operative. Your main role will be to ensure that production is kept running, works orders are picked and raw materials and components are handled efficiently.
Warehouse Operative Role & Responsibilities:
– Unloading, checking, receipting to materials management system.
– Picking raw materials and components against works orders and batch requirements. (FIFO) in line with the production plan.
– Ensure stockholding records are accurate and undertaking stock takes and cycle counts.
– Collation of goods for delivery to customers, book transport for customer deliveries ensuring goods are delivered on the promised dates and any customer-specific requirements are met.
– Ensure maintenance of warehouses and all activities to be undertaken in accordance with Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) to ensure we maintain compliance and our Grade and to QA standards.
– Following all specified cleaning and housekeeping procedures.
– To control the movement of materials around the site/warehouses safely.
– Quality assurance of goods in and completing paperwork accurately.
– Safe operation of Fork Lift trucks (including Counter Balance and Bendi) and maintain daily record checks.
– Arranging the removal of waste and liaison with disposal companies.
– Maintain a safe working environment for all.
– Implementation of all Health & Safety, Quality and operating procedures at all times.
– Assist in any other area of the business as necessary in order to meet customer order deadlines.
Ideal Candidate:
– Ability to prioritise workloads and work under own initiative when required.
– Willingness to learn and complete training within the given timescales.
– Identify opportunities with a view to improving the overall performance of the department.
– Good communication, team player and a friendly disposition
– Previous Warehouse experience
– Counterbalance Certificate within last 3 years.
