The Best of the Best!

We are delighted to announce that Health Innovations, with the University of Bradford, have been selected as a finalist in the Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Best of the Best 2019 awards! This is a huge honour given the exceptionally high calibre of the projects that have been delivered across the UK as part of the KTP programme.

As part of the KTP project, research was undertaken in to the feasibility of developing in-house granulation technology for nutritional supplements that are manufactured at Health Innovations. Historically, pre-granulated ingredients had always been purchased for manufacturing. Working closely with the Centre for Pharmaceutical Engineering Sciences, Dr. Suyog Aher and the team were able to develop a solution to allow the business to granulate high volumes of ingredients whilst maintaining the integrity and quality of the finished product. This technology has been implemented within the business for a number of months and is already delivering numerous benefits.
The benefit that this delivers to the business has been recognised in the Business Impact category.
The Awards Ceremony takes place on 2nd May at London’s Royal Society of Chemistry. #ktpawards
