This role is vital to ensuring the quality and safety of products manufactured and packed by Health Innovations whilst ensuring incoming goods are checked in a timely manner so that manufacturing and packing operations are not affected.
What you’ll be doing:
• Efficient sampling, visual testing per protocol and release of printed packaging, raw materials and semi-processed goods in a timely manner and against the company’s incoming goods procedure and laboratory protocol
• Collation of associating incoming material documentation such as CoAs, test protocol sheets and bible cards.
• Maintain product traceability in line with company procedures and stock systems
• Collate and retain incoming goods samples per company retention procedure.
• Work with the Quality Manager to control and manage non-conforming materials per procedure ensuring quarantine and reject materials are identified and their safe and efficient disposal.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the sample booth.
• To conduct internal calibration and testing of equipment in line with procedure within packing, manufacturing and the laboratory per team rota.
• To conduct checks on the plaster issue registers per team rota.
• Identification, control and efficient handling of non-conforming raw materials, blend, WIP and finished/packed products
• To conduct in process control inspections for each process step ensuring products manufactured and packaged meet with the authorised product specification.
• To conduct quality and hygiene inspections in the manufacturing and packing areas working with the operations team to maintain good standards of hygiene.
• Inspection of finished product and release against set criteria and release of manufactured and packed goods against AQL sample plan in area to be prioritised.
• To promote ‘5S’ methodology across the site working with the quality and operations teams.
• Raising of Non Conformance and other Incident reports
• To be involved in projects that assist the quality and operations team in the maintenance of standard operation procedures and policies, in line with customer, legislative and BRC requirements and the reduction of waste.
• Help identify areas of improvement across the site working with QA and Operations.
As a QA Inspector (Incoming Goods and Manufacturing), you’ll benefit from:
